Roses again

Its roses again folks... this time made some more improvisations... one more layer of petals... now the petal level looks so saturated I think if I add another layer, it will look like a peony... haha... ok... but this is my best one so far... I think... its like the farthest I can go le... so I think my exploration on roses should be final le ba....

斗琴！

Whoever watched 不能说的秘密 would remember the 斗琴 scene in the movie... haha just now went to Carrefour to look for my keyboard which my friends have all kindly donated for me to buy, but offer was over, but then there will be one soon so the salesman beckoned me to wait. Since I have nothing better to do, played the piano on display for a while.

Along came a young little girl, started playing in front of me... I sensed a challenge... hmmm...

She started playing Canon in D so in reply I played Fur Elise, then she played Ballade pour Adeline, then I challenged her with Mariage D'amour, then she switched to pop song, playing 不能说的秘密, I answered again with 曹操, but before I let her start, I decided to strike first in the next blow, then I played the short excerpt from 不能说的秘密, the movie, the first song in their piano battle...

Then she left... haha... I win!!!!

Childish? But fun leh...

Ok thank you all for the wonderful day, esp Hazel and hubby... What is a birthday without a cake... haha so u all sum it all up nicely... thank you...

Okok and Chiew Yen and Eileen, and Chin Chun... for the wonderful dinner haha... but the origami turtle abit off... cannot see how it looks like one... but ok... full marks for effort.. haha~!!!

Ok, last but not least Ginger and woodlands gang for the contribution "casio privia keyboard fund." Will go and get it probably wednesday or thursday... so that I can stay in hall thru the exam period...

Dream a little dream of... lizards!!!!!

Nobody will ever believe what I dreamt about this morning... I forgot what the dream is about... but it was about folding paper. I dreamt up the folding sequence of a lizard... haha incredible... I couldn't believe it myself. I dreamt up the entire folding sequence, then I woke up, but I lay on bed close my eyes and try to recall... I hopped up after I am confident then I immediately rush for a piece of paper before anything else then sat at the table... stone awhile, trying folding the entire thing mentally again before starting.

My brother see me stoning, ask me what happen, I told him to SHHHHH... then I started folding... when I completed, I showed him and my mother, he laughed and laughed while my mother mouth open big big astounded... then say "Ah boy, 你中毒太深了". So funny... pretty decent lizard if I were to say so myself...

This is the one I refolded cos the original one ws done on magazine paper and was very roughly done... cos I folded everything in a jiffy...

Hope I dream up a lion's cub one day... been wanting to fold one but cannot find any decent diagrams... haha...

Squirry...

Had a go at origami all over again... nothing to do... restless ever since ending the 315 presentation, really feel so relieved... heng is do with a bunch of smart ppl... if not die... This time i went back to primary school days... reminiscing the dinosaurs i did with chee hong and gang... remember when we folded them in class, kept them under the table where all our text books are suppose to be? yah... the table is full of dinosaurs...

Anyway, folded them, only remembered tyrannosaurus, saurolophus and velociraptor... others need to slowly recall... maybe will do them when i remember...

Also did Squirry!!! cute squirrel by michael la fosse... not bad... been in my computer for as long as i can remember, just never do out and post... so here is it... SQUIRRY!!! haha... then free as i may be, got so many things to do over weekend... need to post up special requests from erm... a couple of ppl la... knowing that i m very free, they so kindly gave me a direction as to how to spend my weekend... might not do everything.. but see what i can accomplish...

Obsession with roses...

Nothing to do today... so folded roses again... was at Kinokuniya during the weekends, picked up a book by Toshikazu Kawasaki where he discussed the process of rose designing, the symmetries and the folds.

Some tips and insights he shared, which i remember and memorize... decided to try out today. the book is like 30+ and i decided its not worth it... haha instead read and tried to remember key points, folding the rose in my head...

Dun remember everything, only the part about increasing number of petals with staggered folds... here is the rough try... pretty decent.. need more practise i guess...

The rose looks full bloom now, but dunno whether its "over-bloomed" ... must pack the folds neater together... will try again...
